PPU full
« on: October 03, 2012, 06:58:45 pm »
So my drives are pretty full and PPU drive is down to 200 Gig left.  I have four: 2TB drives and plan on buying either another 2TB or maybe 3TB drive.  What is the best layout?   Should I use two drives of 2TB each for PPU or if I buy a 3TB drive use the single 3TB drive for PPU and the rest would be data?  Is there anything special I have to do with changing my current PPU drive to a data drive and use the new drive for PPU?

Don't worry about your PPU drive filling up, I have 10x 2TB DRU and 1 2TB PPU, many people have more DRU's.

If you add a 2TB DRU you don't have to do anything special, just add it.

If you buy a 3 TB drive you will have to make that your PPU.  You can swap them.  Read the wiki.  When you've got that working fine just wipe the 2TB drive and add it as a new DRU.
