My trial ended too soon
« on: February 25, 2013, 05:21:49 am »
I've been testing FlexRAID out with a view to buying it if it suits my needs. However, recently the Real Time side of it was playing up, so after reading some stories in the forum about it being a bit unreliable, I decided yo switch to Snapshot RAID. So I re-implemented my PPU/parity drive under Snapshot, but now FlexRAID seems to think my trial has expired, even though I've only been using it for 5 days at most.

Is this a bug or is this related to the fact tat I switched RAID types mid-trial? I would like to be able to test out the Snapshot side more thoroughly before I commit to paying if possible.

Just request a trial from the UI and see what it says.

Naturally I tried this already! It logs me in but shortly after I start up the Storage Pool I am kicked off, and I can't access the pool via in the CLI either.

Are you running inside of a VM?
Is your clock properly behaving?

No I'm not running a VM and I've not touched the clock so I don't think that's affected anything?

Go to System Control Panel -> Toolbox -> Reset Activation.
Then try again.

Tried that already, no dice. It appears to work - I can log in (without username or password) - but then soon after I'm kicked off again.
