Will FlexRAID work alongside t-RAID?
« on: September 07, 2013, 10:59:43 am »
I would like to use storage pooling on only some of the drives that t-RAID manages, but it seems like that's an all or nothing option.

Since I've already paid for FlexRAID, can I use it on top of t-RAID for storage pooling only with a subset of the t-RAID drives? If so, are there any caveats as far as setting things up?

The storage pooling in tRAID is superior to that in RAID-F.
Nevertheless, yes, you can use RAID-F pooling on top of the transparent disks.
You will need to explain why you would want to do that though as that is a strange choice.

Like I said, the storage pooling seems to be all or nothing. I only want to pool a few drives.
