dm-crypt luks volume support?
« on: October 16, 2013, 04:49:14 pm »
I tried FlexRAID a few years ago but have been away for some time now. In the past, it seemed possible to use any directory path as a DRU or PPU. This allowed me to mount several disks encrypted with luks under various directories and use them with FlexRAID. I just downloaded a trial of FlexRAID 2 and it looks like it's only detecting standard unencrypted disks. Can I get smart monitoring of the encrypted disks and, more importantly, add them to FlexRAID as DRUs?

The disks are encrypted with dm-crypt with luks extension, configured with the cryptsetup command in Ubuntu.

Thanks for your help.

The old ways to do things are still there in Expert Mode configuration.

I'm seeing the same drives in expert mode as cruise-control mode. Is there a way to unhide /? That would probably give me the functionality, minus smart monitoring support. Right now I'm just seeing /boot and a few drives that are not encrypted in the left pane.

Post screenshot of what you are seeing.
There should be the root "/" path in the left panel in Expert Mode.
