This has been asked about a million time already. The next releases are in the works and there is no ETA.
Those that have been around long enough know of this type of silence and gap between releases whenever something major is being worked on.
It is not an ideal process, but it is pointless to fight it. So, chill.  8)

Dropping by for my bi-yearly update request.

So, what's the latest on this project? Any updates?  :P

Nice, so we are now deleting post that are unpleasant.
You should use your energy to at least respond to him as he has been waiting 16 months for an update.
Or is your comment also "possibly this fall"?

Just say that the project has been paused and come back when you have something.
Dont do that "next spring/summer/fall/winter" bullshit for years.

Hi,

It's nice to see there was an update released recently for RAID-F. This is supposed to be a refresher update before the major release, which means the RAID-F redesign project is very much alive and in the works. I wanted to thank Brahim for his hard work in this.

One quick question, is it necessary to update to this refresher build before the major update? Or can I directly jump to the major update when that's released?

Thanks again,
ASB

No, it is not a requirement to update to the Refresher release. However, it is recommended to do so for the fixes mentioned in the change logs.

Cool, thanks

Can we expect the major update to be released in Q2 2018?

Fair expectation. :)

Since RAID-F is going to be implemented into the unified product soon, does this mean this project has been canned? Or is the major redesign still going to be released separately?

Nothing is being canned. Everything is being improved into a unified product.
Existing installations and licenses will remain valid and supported. Production installations that are working just fine won't need to be disturbed.
Don't get too distracted by the new shinny thing in the works. Once it is out and has enough compelling features for you to migrate, then you do.
