Busy, redesigning. ;)
I am currently focused on the UI. The main effort is modernizing the code base and porting a few UI features done in tRAID back to RAID-F.

Busy is a good thing...  :)

Hi,
I have been using RAID-F up until a fire took down my file server.  Fortunately, I was able to salvage 4 disks out of 8 because the data was never striped as in the usual case with RAID-5/6 etc.  This reinforces the huge benefit of not striping data across disks.

Yes, I should have had a backup  ??? to the file server but I just never got that far along in implementing my data redundancy solution.

In the future, please also implement file-metadata saves, i.e. creation times, security permissions, etc.  Previously there was a feature request file.  Thanks for considering it.

Best regards,

C.

This was eventually going to be asked, so it might as well be me. When can we expect this to be released? Looking at the tall order, I say end of this year  ;D

As if you did not expect it, the answer is: "no ETA".  :P

I'd like the ability to run pre and post update scripts. The current scripting engine is a little complex. Acronis handles this very well via  GUI.

Flexraid could then pause my NZBGet post processing/download queues, run and update, and then send the resume command to continue downloading.

On the email report of missing files in the event of a failed rebuild - I'd like the ability to specify which file extensions I want reported. So this could either be via a CSV format, where I could then limit to only mkv/avi files or actually built into FlexRaid. That way I know what TV Shows/Movies I have lost and it's much easier to re-import into automated download tools.

What is being done to improve bitrot detection? I have had files which have gone corrupt and the parity got updated with this corrupt information.

We are able to restore a single file, but the process could be simpler.

Hello

How is the re-designing going? It looks like it's been more than a year since the last update - really looking forward to see what you will come up with :)

Wouldn't be surprised if he abandoned this project. It's not the first time either.
