This is on Ubuntu 14.04.

Whenever I try to either Register Online or Download Pre-Reg Info, FlexRaid core dumps and reports:

Error in './FlexRaid': double free or corruption (!prev)

And in the webclient a com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.StatusCodeException is thrown.

Any ideas here?  I'm am running as Root user.  The email I recived contains a purchase code and a Registration/Import code and I tried both codes but get the same error each time with either code.

Noticed in the email the link to secure.flexraid.com.  Entered both codes there and now I'm registered, but I still can't seem to activate anything via the web client.

I still get the same error as described above.

1. Are you using the alternate Linux release?

2. Please provide a screenshot of the full error stack.

No.  I am able to run flexraid as any user.

Not sure where to get the stack trace from - the flexraid log doesn't contain any error info.

root@fileserver:/proc/sys/kernel# cd /var/lib/flexraid/
root@fileserver:/var/lib/flexraid# ./FlexRAID
FlexRAID initialized successfully....
*** Error in `./FlexRAID': double free or corruption (!prev): 0xe5d1b518 ***
Aborted (core dumped)
root@fileserver:/var/lib/flexraid#

apport.log contains:

ERROR: apport (pid 8535) Tue Aug  5 21:56:17 2014: called for pid 8459, signal 6, core limit 0
ERROR: apport (pid 8535) Tue Aug  5 21:56:17 2014: executable: /var/lib/flexraid/FlexRAID (command line "./FlexRAID")
ERROR: apport (pid 8535) Tue Aug  5 21:56:17 2014: executable does not belong to a package, ignoring

If necessary I can try re-installing flexraid.  I would just like to know which files to keep in order to preserve the setup I configured during my trial period.

Thanks.

There are two releases for Linux.

If one release is not working for you, please try the other.

Ok I can try another version, in this case it would be the "run only as root" version I would be trying.

Also, can you please tell me which files I should preserve in order to keep my configuration from the previous install?

Or will I not lose the data on the drives if I re-assign them in a new configuration (2 data units and 1 parity unit)?

Thanks.
