Verify RAID+ stops at 400GB
« on: August 18, 2014, 11:06:05 pm »
Hi

I have a scheduled task to run a verify RAID+ once a week. Whenever this runs, it always stops at 400GB;

-----
Name: Verify RAID [Media Centre Array]
Start Date: Tue Aug 19 01:00:00 GMT+930 2014
End Date: Tue Aug 19 01:19:10 GMT+930 2014
Duration: 00:19:10
Throughput: 356.173MB/s
Total Size: 400GB
-----

When I run manually, it completes.
Currently running the trial version - is this a limitation?

Jason.

Thanks for that.
Mine was set to 100gb so I'm not sure why it was stopping at 400gb.
I've increased this and will see how it goes.

Jason.

That 400gb would be your scheduled range setting multiplied by the amount of DRU's in your system.

It truly is checking 100gb of parity, but has to read a total of 400gb from all your DRU's to check this.

EDIT: To get the scheduled task to complete the entire array, you just set that scheduled range size to be the size of your PPU.
