New feature: RAID 1 with N-way mirroring
« on: October 30, 2014, 11:23:03 pm »
RAID 1 with N-way mirroring
By popular demand, Transparent RAID users now also have the option of configuring and deploying RAID 1 or N-way mirror arrays.
We received a lot of requests from users with just two disks looking for a solution as a stop gap till they have a 3rd disk for parity RAID.
We also had requests for users wishing to have both a tRAID array as well as a N-way mirror array.

Our implementation features:
- Striped and distributed read
- Verification and data sync tasks (the only solution with optional maintenance tasks)
- Fully transparent (disks are fully readable/writable when outside of the array - no proprietary layout)
