WHS 2011 to Flex Raid

I have a low power Atom processor (mini itx) WHS 2011 server. It is a stock 2011 server. I want to add a small amount of disks and implement Flexraid on the server. The Server is used for Backup, serve music to a Sonos system and plays a power point presentation. I don't have have a bunch of space. So I am wondering a few thing about the build:
1. Is an atom processor (probably 1.6 dual core) powerful enough for what i want to do?
2. I am thinking of either 1 or 2 disks for storage and 1 parity. After reading the suggested drives I will look at 2tb black drives. Right now the server has 2x 500 gig hd.
Thanks for your help

@OP,
You need to specify whether you intend to use RAID-F or tRAID.
An atom should be fine for either, but if using RAID-F, that will depend on the amount and frequency of data change.

Transparent Raid.
Also does WHS 2011 backup client work with Transparent Raid.
My whole thought process right now is to get additional storage with a parity drive. I want to move everything into a drive pool including the whs 2011 client backups. Then i will backup the C: drive to a disk outside the pool. How does this sound?

You should be fine. However, more RAM will certainly help Windows and its file caching aspects.
