Readd drives after reinstall
« on: March 22, 2016, 10:56:42 am »
So I downgraded from flexraid 2.1 to 2.0 and all of my drives are "MISSING".
When I try to swap out the drives like it says here: http://wiki.flexraid.com/2012/03/25/how-do-i-add-my-drive-back-to-the-pool-after-re-installing-my-os/
is starts to dump all of the drive contents onto my C: drive.

Will it do this only for parity drive, or for data drives too?
Can you somehow add all the drives without this process?

I may be wrong here, but I have got a vague memory that the database formats are different between 2.0 and 2.1. If you downgrade, you may well need to delete your config and start again.

I recreated the config and there was a popup when I was initializing the raid asking if I want to use existing parity data.
Why isnt there such a popup when you swap parity drives? Or maybe it does the same operation.
Man knowledge base is in a sad state...
