FlexRAID products are well supported on Windows 10. Just remember to uninstall prior to the OS upgrade and re-install afterwards.
The proper driver for the OS is set during installation.

I should have checked here first.

I went ahead and updated to Win10AU WITHOUT uninstalling the driver first and ended up with all sorts of issues.

Had to roll back to the last 1511 build and everything is now fine. I'll check again here if anyone has successfully managed to update to AU after following Brahim's suggestions of un-installing flexraid first.

Brahim, could you provide the exact steps to follow?
I am not consider myself a newbie and i think after reading all flexraid docs that it is difficult to lose your data but still...

should i execute uninstall.bat in NZFS-TRAID-HOST folder and perform the update and then execute install.bat in the same folder, should i uninstall the client too?

There is a lot of data, i prefer to be cautious :).

Thanks in advance.

+1 Some steps or a wiki link to procedure would be great. The same document should highlight when it's recommended to uninstall / reinstall.

Hello,

This is what I did for moving on to Win10P_AU. I was having failed disk anyway so this was as good as any to rebuild the raid. The steps are the same for upgrading to a new version of tRaid when it appears.

Uninstalling or Upgrading the Transparent RAID Host Package
From <http://wiki.flexraid.com/2013/06/27/uninstalling-or-upgrading-the-transparent-raid-host-package/>
Stop tRaid from the Web Client and disable auto-start from the configuration menu (both the array and the virtual pool)

Reboot

from the installed folder (for eg: C:\NZFS-TRAID)
Execute uninstall.bat (run as administrator)

then
Uninstalling or Upgrading the Transparent RAID Web Client Package
From <http://wiki.flexraid.com/2013/06/27/uninstalling-or-upgrading-the-transparent-raid-web-client-package/>
Installed folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\FlexRAID\NZFS Web Client Service 1.0
Execute Service_Stop.bat (run as administrator)
Execute Uninstall.exe (run as administrator)
Delete empty installed folder if program does not do so.

REBOOT

Installing Transparent Host Package:
Delete the old installation folder
Unzip the latest build of tRaid from the download page to C:\NZFS-TRAID-HOST
Execute install.bat (run as administrator)
Do not reboot if installing Web Client package on same machine

Installing or Upgrading the Transparent RAID Web Client Package
Execute NZFS-TRAID_CLIENT-vxxxx (download latest build from flexraid download page)
Accept defaults

REBOOT before starting or running the web client (if installed on the same machine)

After reboot, run web-client and enable array and pool auto-start. Reboot may be necessary after you manually start the array.

tRaid is working fine under the anniversary update.

thank you bold.
I was forced to do the upgrade before completing the uninstalling steps, so i did a hard reboot. Then, after some minor errors all seems to be ok.

Kind regards.

I uninstalled the flexraid service from the start menu programs folder (just clicked on Uninstall) but the NZFS Windows Service is still installed and starts with Windows.  How do I uninstall it?

@tphelps19

You can't just click on Uninstall, you need to right click it and Run as Administrator.

Stop tRaid from the Web Client and disable auto-start from the configuration menu (both the array and the virtual pool)

then
Uninstalling or Upgrading the Transparent RAID Web Client Package

Execute Service_Stop.bat (run as administrator)
Execute Uninstall.exe (run as administrator)
Delete empty installed folder if program does not do so.

REBOOT
