Upgrading PPU and DRU
« on: August 12, 2017, 11:39:32 am »
Hi there,

I want to upgrade my PPU to a 8TB Drive and also switch my older 3x 3TB older DRU drive to a 6TB + 8TB DRU drive.. How should I proceed ?

Transfer the data from old DRU to the new DRU and rebuild the parity completly after the transfer is done ? The 6TB drive is currently my PPU that I will be using as a DRU.

Thanks..

I would stop the array copy the files onto the HDD you want and then make a nes array and do new parity onto the array.
