Upgrading to the latest?
« on: January 01, 2018, 05:08:31 pm »
I've been running FlexRaid since 2012, I believe. And I haven't updated my binaries for many years by now. I am currently on "2.0u8r2 final" and want to upgrade to the latest version (got a notification email couple weeks ago) - "2.1 Final (2017-11-21)".

My question is - do I need to do anything special to ensure my setup doesn't get broken by an update of the binaries? I did try to find any upgrade docs, but my searching foo has been weak. I would appreciate any advice on how to ensure that my upgrade process is pain free.

P.S. Happy New Year!

http://wiki.flexraid.com/2012/03/28/howto-upgrade-your-flexraid-installation-to-a-new-release/

It would also be wise to backup the FlexRAID configuration.

Thanks. Not sure how could I not find that on my own. Duh.
