Ubuntu Transport Endpoint Disconnected
« on: March 10, 2018, 03:53:20 pm »
I am having an issue with my snapshot raid setup on my ubuntu machine. Every few days (especially if I have done a big data transfer to my pool) the pool will disconnect, but appear to still be mounted. The error I get is that the "transport endpoint is disconnected." I think FlexRAID is glitching or freezing and suddenly disconnecting the pool without unmounting. Has anyone run into this or fixed this issue before. My solution is to reboot, but it is pretty annoying to have to do this every few days.

Which version are you on?
Is the Web UI still accessible when this happens?

Please check the logs for potential clues.

The web UI is not accessible when this happens. It is a Java.lang.OutofMemoryError. My array ran two updates (1 each hour) and then had the error when running the 3rd. It had been running fine for about 2 days before I had the error. Depending on how much data movement I do is how fast this happens. I think it isn't freeing memory properly and I am not sure how to fix this.

How many files you do you suspect you have in the array?
If you have had the array for quite a while, rebuilding the parity anew will help out with too heavy fragmentation.
