Notifications for dropped drives?
« on: May 15, 2017, 11:42:37 am »
It doesn't look like there is a way to have T-RAID notify you via email etc. when you have a dropped drive... I logged into the web UI the other day and noticed that my PPU had been dropped for over a week, and I had no clue. I checked my logs and the event viewer and don't see anything that could indicate a drive is failing or had been dropped. If there is a way to notify me I'd like to know how. Otherwise can this feature be added in the future? Thanx!

If you have email or SMS configured, you will be notified via those mediums when a disk drops.
Note that the Web UI must be running for that to take place.

"Web UI must be running"
You mean that the web interface must open in a web browser for dropped disk notification to take place? Shouldn't this functionality be running from background service?

The WebUI "service" must be running.
