Drive letter assignment on Windows 10
« on: August 13, 2015, 06:12:09 am »
I just did a clean install of Windows 10 and have my tRAID array up and working.  The only problem is Windows assigns it a drive letter which is different than what I have configured within tRAID.  I can change the Windows assigned drive letter in "Disk Management" to match my tRAID setup but upon reboot it reverts back to what Windows originally assigned.

Have others seen this problem with Win10?  Anyone have any suggestions of how to fix it?

Well that is a huge problem then.  Any idea on how to solve this or when an update to support the current operating system will happen?

t-Raid support is the only SW holding my HTPC to windows 10. You should consider this is not another window 8 flop. Millions are upgrading from 7 & 8 at a very fast pace. You are only hurting your business not supporting W10 faster as most HW and SW vendors are already doing.
Sad to see you only promise is in the "months" timeframe. In this day and age it should be "days". W10 upgrade offer is for a limited time and a lot of your potential customer who are upgrading are probably already looking for alternatives. I know I am.

Unfortunately after 4 years with Flexraid, I have moved on to another solution.  The slow release for Win10 was the last straw for me.  Thank you.

So...has this been fixed?  My pool now maps to D instead of Z.  Every app is broken.

Windows 10 is well supported on the latest release.
Not sure why your pool would mount to a driver letter different than the one you have configured unless the one configured is already in use. In which case, a random drive letter is used.
