Strange issue with rm
« on: September 25, 2015, 11:16:26 am »
It seems that new files created in my pool cannot be removed. rm returns No such file or directory. Those files can be moved though so long as it is moved within the pool. If I stop the pool they can also be removed.

Edit from FlexRAID sys log for every file attempted to delete: [on_unlink]: errorMsg=No such file or directory for OnMoveFileToRecycleBin

Seems to be the same as Bug ID 0000081 (http://bug.flexraid.com/view.php?id=81) that was resolved on 2011-08-19.

Anyone have any ideas? Is this an issue with my fs or FlexRAID?

Are you running version 2.1?
If so, file a bug report with logs on bug.flexraid.com.

The fix in the latest build seems to have only partially solved the problem. The log i posted in the original ticket (http://bug.flexraid.com/view.php?id=405) showed me creating and attempting to delete a file in the root of flexraid's mount point (/mnt/flexraid/) and in that situation the problem has been solved but if a file is created in any other directory the problem persists. In this log I created a new directory, /mnt/flexraid/test/, then created a file test.txt in that directory, then unsuccessfully attempted a delete.

Also as a side note in the webui when you hover over the globe in shows the build as being 10/04/2015 but I have updated to 10/05/2015 and the installer acknowledges that if I rerun.

Should I open a ticket for either of these issues?

Sure, reopen the bug report with the additional pertinent info.

Also:
Code: [Select]

Must have changed that setting unintentionally. Thank you for pointing it out.

Just re-open the bug with the details you have and it will be worked on for the next build.

I did reopen it but either I hit something wrong or didn't notice the selection option but the bug has a status of 'feedback'.
