Hi,

I am running Flexraid Raid - F with Storage Pooling (Version 2.1 [Snapshot 1.1 / Storage Pool 2.0] [2015.11.01]) on Windows 10 x64 (Version 1511/Build 10586.3).
My Raid config is Cruise Control with Snapshot Raid, there are 8 DRUs and 1 PPU.

I get an error when I try to Update the Parity, the error message in the Toolbox windows is "An error has occured! See logs for full message. Error message: DRU1 has failed or is offline! - Please bring it online or recover it..."

My loglevel is set to "TRACE" here is the entry of the log:

[2015-11-17 13:32:13,288] INFO : Executing update...
[2015-11-17 13:32:13,288] INFO : [update] started at: Tue Nov 17 13:32:13 CET 2015
[2015-11-17 13:32:16,272] INFO : Using RAID engine Tx
[2015-11-17 13:32:16,272] ERROR: [update] error: IOException[DRU1 has failed or is offline! - Please bring it online or recover it...]
java.io.IOException: DRU1 has failed or is offline! - Please bring it online or recover it...

   at com.tchegbe.lib.io.a.e.c.a.run(Unknown Source)
   at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

In the "Drive Manager" DRU1 is online and healthy, I can also access the data on this drive, e.g. copy data from this drive to local harddisk.

I then completely deinstalled Felxraid, also deleted the config.db file and the hidden "Flexraid managed pool" folder.
After that I rebooted windows, reinstalled Flexraid latest release and restored the license file and the settings for the logging options.

Then I made a new config and imported the raid from the ppu drive. After that I only swapped out all drives matching 1:1 the old assignment starting with the ppu.
So finally all drives were online and healty, then I startet the pool and the pooldrive was visible and accessible.
Then I started the parity update, because there is data on the raid for which i have not created the parity data yet, but no luck the above error occured, so what to do now?

Please do the following:

1. In the Web UI Drive Manager, select the affected DRU and choose to view its content. Take a screenshot.

2. In your OS Disk Manager, find the affected disk and choose to edit its mount point and drive letter. Take a screenshot of the assigned mount point, but don't change anything.

3. Go to your C drive and enable the viewing of hidden and system folder. Edit the security permissions on the "FlexRAID-Managed-Pool" folder and give yourself rights to access it. Navigate to C:\FlexRAID-Managed-Pool\class1_0 and take a screenshot of the content.

Provide all the info requested above.

Just upgraded to Windows 10 and I'm getting the same thing when I try to update.  Was a result found?

1. Go to C:\FlexRAID-Managed-Pool\class1_0 and take a screenshot of its content (will have to edit folder security to gain access)
2. Take a screenshot of properties of C:\FlexRAID-Managed-Pool\class1_0\{abfa13f5-7cdd-4ee5-815b-1935fb51e76c}

Sorry, but I can't find anything called FlexRAID-Managed-Pool on my C drive.  Maybe I'm missing something.

It's a hidden folder, change your folder options to show hidden items and you'll see it.

You need to enable the viewing of system and hidden folder: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=windows-7
