Flexraid service is constantly using 1 thread of a 4 core/8 thread CPU with spikes upto 44% usage.  Memory currently at 3,865,000K

edit:  attempted to check the smart stats, and the pool dropped offline/the service crashed.

Still resolving an issue with my installer.
The installer is creating a service that is not properly shutting down the pool and hence the many issues with RT RAID.
I really want to fix this before I release this build.
I will provide an update by the end of day.

Update 6 for Windows is finally out.
My installer vendor came through and fixed the issue affecting the service.
This is an important release for Windows users, so please update your installations.

I downloaded the new v20 u6 windows version (with trial) and when I tried to Request a Trial License but i got this error: "Trial Request Pre-Registration Failure".

Even when I try the other enabled option and type in a purchased code i get "Pre-Registration Failure!"

What is it and what should I do about it, to be able to start using this software?

When I start up the Web client. If I try to Register Online it says "Pre-registration failure!"
If I click on "Download Pre-registration Info" it says "Operation Failure"

I don't mind paying for the product. I do mind products I purchase where the Registration fails and I can't use it.

What's the solution?

I looked at your box and did not see any issue.
I was able to generate the pre-reg file. See C:\.
Did you enter the proper purchase code when attempting the operations?

Do you think you could try to figure out multiple storage pools for update 7? This is one big reason I purchased the software and am a little disappointed I can only make one.

The first oficial release I've installed was the update 5. Just upgraded to update 6 and still getting some errors I never had on beta releases.

First, some files that ARE STILL THERE are listed on the logs as no longer existing and are being skipped. That usually happened just with the excluded files. Most the files are encrypted protected ones but the SYSTEM user FR installs itself has full accesss

The new and strange one are the "incomplete" warnings. Some of my movies got a warning of incomplete files always informing the right file size but that FR could only read the same amount of bytes (wath makes me feel like it's a bug). Files are still fully readable from any media player I got.

I'm still running a full surface test on ALL my disks before saying it's FR bug.

Another (REALLY mind blowing) issue is that, after 36hs or more of parity cration, after some incomplete file warnings FR throws a unexpected EOF warning on a parity file and aborts all the create operation (so I have to start from scratch)

As I said, I'm running a full surface test on all my disks. That may take a few days. After that I will try to recreate the parity again in debug mode and see how it goes. The parity disk has reported 3 new bad blocks and I'm hopping this is the cause of the create abortion.

I'm still using the same disks and controllers as before and never had any issues with the beta releases. Even the encrypted files were recovered fine before after a disk fail so I guess the security access and encryption are not the ones causing the problem.

I'll be back after the full battery of tests and hopefully with my data protected again (playing the russian roulete till now).

Hi,

I followed the instructions here to request a new key for a 'moved' install:

But several days later have received no reply from your sales email address....... could you look into this please?

(I realise it can be done via the self-service portal, but when you receive your keys it only gives you two weeks to register on the portal, and I didn't manage to do it inside that time window and so now my key is not recognised inside the portal - "invalid registration info!")  Not sure why you have to do this within two weeks - quite limiting.
