SMART monitoring: "Device is in STANDBY mode"
« on: March 31, 2012, 07:38:58 pm »
I get periodic batches of emails from the SMART monitoring that read "Device is in STANDBY mode, exit(2)", I'll get about 17 in a row, maybe once a week. Does this mean anything useful? Or is it supposed to happen?
I've attached screenshots of my SMART monitoring and email notifications setup.
Thanks,
Ari

I guess we could skip those warning and just log them.
It is alerting that the drives could not be monitored given that you chose to skip them when it standby mode.

Please log a feature request at bug.flexraid.com to add the option to skip emailing for this case.

Would be good if this was a feature that could be toggled on/off, rather than a hardcoded yes/no.  I can  see where this could be useful info to notify someone if SMART checks have not been run in x amount of days due to it being in Standby.
