Snapshot only?
« on: April 24, 2012, 10:16:52 pm »
I was a user of flexraid a fair while back. Still have the parity file it built probably nearly 12 months ago but I've been slack, have been lucky that nothing has happened to my data and only now getting round to setting it up properly.

Noticed all the new developments so wondering what I should do. I'm only interested in snapshot raid at the moment. It's only for my movie rips and that data hasn't changed for a while.

So, do I need to buy a version and if so, which one? Just the RAID-F version? Or is there a free version for a small number of drives? I only have one parity with three data drives.

Thanks

Yeah, RAID-F.
However, if you need to pool the data too into big virtual drive, then you should get the combo.

Thanks.

Just so I'm aware, there is no free three drive version or anything like unraid offers?

No free version.
Update 6 coming out hopefully today will have a trial version though.
