General Discussion / Re: switch to tRAID?

It primarily comes down to whether you want a snapshot RAID or a live RAID.  If your data doesn't require live protection, there's not much of a reason to switch.

Keep in mind that the dev is currently MIA, so I wouldn't mess with a working system in any way.

There was a discount a few years back. But those coupons had a best before date that we are already past.
Yes you can change without destroying any of the DRU drives you just delete the PRU drives and then make a new raid under triad.

I have been using flexraid for a LONG time
Was wondering if there is an advantage to switch to traid?
is there a discount to do so for previous license holders?
can the switch be done without destroying the data currently on the drives?
RAID-F on Windows / DRU restore failure

Here's the message I get:

WARN: The restore process has failed! Nothing has been restored...
An exception has occurred!
See logs for full message.
Error message: Unable to create directory C:\FlexRAID-Managed-Pool\class1_0\{d9c88434-6e68-49e7-be1d-2407e4763ddd}\Users\MEDIA\Software\*some file directory blah blah blah*\Versions\1.0\Resources

I have the full log if needed as well.

Background: Upgraded OS drive from 128gb ssd to 500gb ssd. Apparently, at the same time one of my DRU drives bites the dust. I purchased a new hdd and initialized it through windows and then ran a restore to the new drive using the original drive letter. Then I get the error message and here we are. I hadn't added any new files to the pool or anything of that nature. Any help appreciated thanks!

The story has been read in this content. It teaches many things. It is very good that I have read it.

I was really glad to read this very useful content, so I learned a lot of new things.
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost:8080.
Was working fine for years.  Now I get this.  Windows 7 and using firefox and tried chrome.
Any help would be great.

Honestly, who knows?  There's always a chance he never returns.  During that lengthy spell, most people thought the product was dead.  As long as my stuff keeps working, I have no reason to look for alternatives.  Hopefully, MS doesn't release some half-baked update that screws things up, but that's why I upgraded my server's W10 license to Pro.... solely so I wouldn't have updates and reboots forced down my throat.  Sucks, but worth the money to me.
